I have never been the person to keep a journal or write . I am also not the type of person to put myself out there to be viewed by the public eye. As I get older I have found myself to wish that I could do both. So on my 23rd birthday - hitting an almost half a century crisis- I realize that in such a short amount of time I have grown and experienced so much. Welcome to my journey.
I am an event manager and travel across the beautiful United States to college campuses. I have been blessed with this amazing opportunity to see both coasts and many states in between. During my travels I have seen many different US cultures, experienced why Oregon stays weird, and introduced my palate to a whole new world (my favorite being oysters)! I work with an amazing team who is not only just coworkers but mentors and friends.
I just recently moved in with my boyfriend. This has been an exciting journey for us as we start to redo the house and make it ours. He is my motivator, biggest cheerleader and so strong. Sometimes I wonder how he puts up with me but deep down I know he loves my spur of the moment antics ;). Before I moved in with him I lived with my four crazy beautiful roommates. We have been through heartbreak, nights that turned into mornings and many oh shit moments. They have helped mold me into who I am and have watched me grow from a sweet quiet girl to a courageous woman. They have taught me to be me, not to judge, work hard for what I want, and to never let anyone bring me down. I would never be who I am today without them. Living with them in the Party Palace was the greatest time of my life.
My family has been my biggest support system. They have watched me want to grow up way to fast, fall, and build myself back up. They have been through so much with me but have always stuck by my side. They are the definition of true love and have supported me through my journey. I grew up with my Mom, Dad, and younger sister Sara. I notice myself turning into my Mom more and more every day and I would not want to be like anyone else. My dad always has the perfect advice. Sometimes I do not want to hear what he has to say but he is always right! Although he may think I am not taking it in, his lessons have followed me through my life and helped me get to where I am today. My sister and I are complete opposites but that makes our relationship fun! She looks at me like I am crazy half the time and introduces me to an entire different world than what I know. Her unique style and personality is the definition of BE YOU!
My life has been a roller coaster, but whose isn't in their twenties? I would not trade my experiences, mistakes, or the people that I have met during this journey for anything. Here I will document recipes (good ones and the ones that need help!) as I learn how to cook, my travel, and random day to day adventures!
